Why aftercare matters
After bariatric surgery, your body changes. Your eating patterns, vitamin needs, blood results, energy, emotions and routines may also change. Without follow-up, patients may be at risk of:

Phase one
First year after surgery
A period of rapid change and learning. The first year may include:
- Regular follow-up appointments
- Dietician guidance & eating-phase support
- Vitamin & supplement education

Phase two
Long-term follow-up
The goal is to help you live well after treatment. Long-term follow-up may include:
